Sarah's Gluten Free Chicken Layer Feed
My dear friend Sarah has been helping me on this Chicken journey! We recently started mixing our own Layer Feed. It's so incredibly easy. And, just like we know eating whole foods as humans is better, its better for our animals too!

We buy most of the food through a Co-Op Food share called Azure Standard (Affiliate Link).

Starting with Baby Chicks
After the food shortage of 2020.... we decided we needed to be better prepared. Living in the city we do, there isn't much we can do if the stores don't have food. It's a few hours to any major city in any directions.
While we are fairly prepared for a major food shortage, we also realize it's time to make a change. We decided that it was time to start working on some type of food sources we could personally produce. Over the summer my husband worked on building a chicken coop at his paren…
